Cesar C. Sevilla earned his BS in Agriculture and MSc major in ruminant nutrition from the University of the Philippines Los Banos in 1972 and 1976, respectively. He received his PhD degree in Animal Science from the University of Queensland in 1985. Currently, he is a Professor and Director at the Animal and Dairy Sciences Cluster, College of Agriculture, UP Los Banos, where he teaches ruminant production/nutrition, Board Member of the National Dairy Authority, Department of Agriculture, Editorial Board Member of Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Science, among others. His recent research interest includes dietary manipulation of rumen ecology, screening for indigenous rumen by-pass protein sources and improving local dairy nutrition. He has published more than 70 scientific papers. Dr. Sevilla is actively involved with professional and research institutions towards the improvement of the local animal industry. He has served as president of the Philippine Society of Animal Science and editor in chief of its journal.
